Predictionjustice
We fight for the prohibition of arbitrary arrest and imprisonment.
We exist to affirm a foundational truth:
No person may be deprived of liberty
without equal protection before the law.
We have found it to be the case that arbitrary arrest and false imprisonment remains the last enduring result of the Louisiana non-unanimous Jim Crow jury scheme
“Let no man mistake the origin of lawful authority , that justice cannot be sanctified by finality alone, nor does time make oppression sacred. That it is declared “all men are created equal” that for everyone there’s equal standing before the law, that it is not a gift of Governance, but endowed by the Creator. That the rights that we share today are the same as you possessed then
That no man, nor group of men, nor king, nor monarch , nor State, nor Judge, nor time can remove. That it is well established, In LONG STANDING That unanimity is no mere technicality but a covenant between God and our neighbor, that the State must meet the highest of standards before depriving liberty . That a person belongs to a larger community and cannot be taken away from society without complete civic agreement, and there is no such thing as consent to an unlawful deprivation of freedom. A conviction upheld without full democratic assent (whenever dissent is ignored) , becomes a system of caste and oppression. The spirit of the sovereign is upon us all to preach the good news”
